How we started
Mercia Electrical was founded in October 2020 in Mickleover, on the west side of Derby unconfirmed. We started out installing EV chargers for homes and workplaces unconfirmed. As customers began asking about making their own electricity, we added solar panels and battery storage, and then larger systems for businesses unconfirmed.
Today we design and install everything from a single home charger to a 502 kWp warehouse roof, and we've completed 250+ commercial installations across 11 UK regions.

Our solar and battery installations meet the Microgeneration Certification Scheme standard, which most energy suppliers require before they pay you for the electricity you export. We pass an MCS assessment every year.
NICEIC Approved Contractor.
Our electrical work is assessed regularly by NICEIC, an independent assessment body for electrical contractors.

We're registered with TrustMark, the government-endorsed quality scheme for work in and around the home.
