Mercia Electrical was founded in October 2020 in Mickleover, Derby. We started with EV chargers and now design and install solar panels, battery storage, EV charging and electrical systems for homes and businesses.
Homes: Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and the West Midlands.

Are you MCS certified?
Yes. Mercia Electrical is MCS certified, NICEIC approved and TrustMark registered. MCS matters for solar because it's what lets you receive export payments under the Smart Export Guarantee. You'll get your MCS certificate and electrical certificates when we hand the system over.
Can I spread the cost?
For homes, finance is available through our lending partners, Hometree and Phoenix, subject to status. Businesses can pay upfront, use Smart Ease business finance, or have the system funded under a Power Purchase Agreement, where you pay for the power the system produces rather than for the system.
Do you work with businesses outside the Midlands?
Yes. We've completed 250+ commercial installations across 11 UK regions, from manufacturing sites and warehouses to schools and sports clubs. We plan each project around how the site runs, handle the grid application and hand over all the certificates.
What happens after installation?
We commission the system, deal with the grid (DNO) paperwork and send you your certificates. Home solar and battery systems come with an app, so you can see what you're generating and using, and we're here if you need help afterwards.
