Charging that fits how your site is used
Commercial EV charging isn't one product. The right chargers depend on who parks, for how long, and how much spare capacity your electricity supply has. We look at all three before recommending anything.
Staff
Cars parked for most of the working day only need 7 kW chargers to top up. They're the simplest to fit, and the Workplace Charging Scheme can pay towards them.
Fleet
Vans and pool cars back at base overnight can charge slowly and cheaply. Vehicles that turn round during the day need faster 22 kW or rapid chargers. We plan the mix around your shift patterns and your supply.
Visitors and customers
Hotels, shops, leisure sites and schools can offer charging to visitors, with access and payment managed through the charger's app, and usage reported back to you unconfirmed.
7 kW, 22 kW or rapid?
AC chargers at 7 kW suit long stays. 22 kW chargers need a three-phase supply, and many cars can only take 7 or 11 kW from an AC charger, so 22 kW isn't always faster. Rapid DC chargers are much quicker but need a far larger supply, often with a grid upgrade. We check what your vehicles can accept first. We install everything from 7 kW chargers to rapid DC units unconfirmed.
What we handle, from survey to switch-on
Site assessment
An electrician inspects your supply and distribution, and we agree where the chargers go, with access, safety and future bays in mind.
Design and quote
A written quote for the chargers, cabling, groundworks and any supply upgrade, with the grant you're likely to receive shown separately.
Approvals
If your supply needs upgrading or the network operator needs to approve the new load, we make the application before work is booked.
Groundworks and installation
Ducting, bases, cable routes and bay markings, then the chargers, scheduled so your car park stays usable.
Set-up and handover
We test and commission each charger, set up user access, monitoring and reports, and show your team how it works.
After handover, maintenance packages keep the chargers working, and we follow up to check everything is running as planned unconfirmed.
Will our electricity supply cope?
Often, yes. Chargers with dynamic load management share the available power between cars and ease off when the building needs it, so you can fit more chargers without a bigger supply. Where the supply really is the limit, we look at an upgrade, or at solar panels and battery storage to support the chargers.
Workplace Charging Scheme grants and ways to pay unconfirmed
The government's Workplace Charging Scheme, run by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV), pays towards workplace chargers for businesses, charities and public sector organisations. It currently pays up to £500 per socket, for up to 40 sockets across all your sites, and is open until 31 March 2027 unconfirmed. State-funded schools and colleges have their own scheme with a higher rate per socket unconfirmed.
The grant has to be claimed by an OZEV-authorised installer. We check your eligibility and make the claim for you unconfirmed. So far we've claimed more than £30,000 in grants for our direct customers unconfirmed.
Beyond the grant, you can buy the chargers outright or ask us about finance unconfirmed.
Grant rules and amounts are set by the government and can change. Finance is subject to status.

The chargers we fit
We fit chargers from Project EV, Ohme and Tesla, chosen for how each bay will be used. The commercial units we recommend can:
- share power between bays with load management
- control who can charge, by card or app
- record energy use by driver or vehicle, for reimbursement and reporting
- connect to back-office software over OCPP, so you're not tied to one platform unconfirmed

Commercial EV charging questions
How much does commercial EV charging cost?
It depends on how many chargers you need and what type, how far they are from your distribution board, the groundworks, and whether your supply needs upgrading. We quote after a site assessment and show any grant separately, so you see the cost before and after it.
Can we get a grant for workplace chargers?
Most businesses, charities and public sector organisations can, through the government's Workplace Charging Scheme. It currently pays up to £500 per socket, for up to 40 sockets across all your sites, and runs until 31 March 2027 unconfirmed. State-funded schools and colleges have their own scheme unconfirmed. We check your eligibility and make the claim for you unconfirmed.
Do we need permission from the network operator?
Larger installations, or ones that would take more power than your current supply allows, need the network operator's approval before connection. We check this at the site assessment and handle any application.
Can staff or visitors pay to charge?
Yes. Networked chargers can charge a set price per kWh, or record staff use so you can reimburse it, with access and payments managed through the charger's app unconfirmed.
Can the chargers run on our solar?
Yes. Chargers can use power from your solar panels during the day, and some can be set to use solar first. Planning solar and charging together means one design and one look at your supply.
How long does installation take?
A few chargers on an existing wall or pedestal can take a few days; larger projects with groundworks or a supply upgrade take longer. We agree the programme before we start unconfirmed.
Do you maintain the chargers?
Yes. We offer maintenance packages to keep chargers working and up to date, priced with your quote unconfirmed.
